November 2017

Must have been cold and wet that day. This is what 5 layers looks like.

Angel looking very cute after a haircut. After a suggestion by the groomer that we bring her in on a weekday rather than the chaotic environment on the weekend, both Angel and the groomer are MUCH more relaxed!

My mother would have been proud. With my work shirts needing some repairs, I bought a cheap, light weight sewing machine, and proceeded to fix them. Since it doesn’t even have a light, I was forced to improvise by using my work headlamp. The caption should read: “If at first it doesn’t work, get a bigger headlamp!”

This is often typical of the way the equipment returns damaged. The mechanism hanging out is used to push the wedges into the anchor on the return cycle. Some bright spark has actually removed the whole mechanism from where it sits inside the nose piece.

And then they wonder why I am forced to write up a document detailing how to look after the equipment, in both English and Spanish, complete with a picture of how to coil the remote cord to protect it.  And then they have the gall to say things like, “Yeah, we know all that.” The next time I hear that, there will be a few well chosen words flying!

Busy day, with job boxes everywhere. Most of them were full, and being shuffled around so that they could go onto the truck in the correct order.

My box stacking area was full. This was the only place I could put this one. And the rack on the right, which contains equipment, is empty!

Thanksgiving dinner with Nancy’s family.

This is me being organised for the coming week. I get dressed in the dark, with only the light from the other bedroom, so everything has to grab and go. That’s a full week’s worth of shirts, in reverse order.

This was after I got my feet tangled up trying a new stop on the ice. Landed heavily on the left knee.
