Today last year, Air Scouts Canberra lost Venturer Leader Doris Turner, when she passed away unexpectedly in Seattle, USA. And on Tuesday next week, in 1969, man first walked on the moon. All of the youth members on this project were not yet born. Several people pulled an all-nighter to finish the project work. I finished the upload after 3 am & snatched a few hours sleep. Then it was a bit of a mad scramble to pack up & try to restore the school to some semblance of normality. The grounds are dotted with square patches where tents have been in the same position for 2 weeks. As for me personally, I'm holding up OK today. I've been too busy to do otherwise. I've spent most of the flight preparing the photos & text to go onto this page, ready to upload at Brisbane Airport. We have succeeded, not only in finishing the actual refurbishment project that we set out to do, but also to touch a whole lot of people, most of all our own team members & all those we interacted with. We have set the bar very high.
