Weather: Hot! At least it's dry, but VERY humid. If it's going to rain, it does it at 3 pm. Today it was 3 minutes early. To say that we were welcomed at the airport by the local Scouts would be the biggest understatement I have ever uttered. We were met by fierce warriors, a guard of honour & a formal welcome by the District Commissioner. Then transported to the school in a fleet of trucks, vans & utes. Standing up & catching the breeze was entirely acceptable & nicely cooling as well. Followed in the morning by cake & coke for breakfast at the Aussie High Commission, and a day of shopping, gathering supplies & cutting the grass (Ninja style). We now have a pet - a cat followed Sally home. One of our youth members arrived at the checkin counter in Brisbane to find that he had his mother's passport, not his own. He'll be joining us on Sunday morning 3 am. We're all still alive, with no injuries (yet). Written up plans for what we need to do, made friends with the neighbours & bought enough kitchen "stuff" to be able to cook for ourselves.
